Terms of Service

Effective date: June 1, 2026

1. Acceptance

By installing Snap Entry from the Ring Appstore and connecting your Ring account, each user agrees to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Snap Entry integrates with Ring’s Partner API to surface live and historical activity from each user’s own Ring devices in a per-user dashboard operated by Onishi Studios. When a door sensor triggers, Snap Entry automatically captures a still image from the associated Ring camera and stores it alongside the event record. Each user’s data is isolated from every other user’s.

The service is available on a Free tier and a Premium tier (see Section 5).

3. Eligibility

You must own or be authorized to manage the Ring device(s) you connect. The service is available to users located in the United States only, in accordance with Ring’s distribution requirements.

4. Account & Identity

Snap Entry uses your Ring account as the identity provider — there is no Snap Entry-specific password to create or remember. Installing the integration via the Ring Appstore creates your Snap Entry account and authorizes Snap Entry to access your Ring device list, status, and event metadata via OAuth 2.0. To complete account linking and on each subsequent sign-in, you authenticate at /login using your Ring email and password (plus the Ring two-factor code if Ring requires one); these credentials are sent directly to Ring for verification and are never stored by Snap Entry. You may revoke access at any time through the Ring app, by uninstalling the integration on the Ring Appstore, or by clicking Delete my account in the Snap Entry dashboard footer.

5. Free & Premium Tiers

Free tier — All users start on the Free tier at no cost. The Free tier includes:

Premium tier — Available by subscription at $1.99 / month or $14.99 / year (billed in advance). Premium includes:

Billing & renewal — Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged using the payment method on file with Stripe. You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time from the Settings page in your dashboard.

Cancellation — When you cancel, your Premium access and unlimited history retention remain active until the end of the current paid period. After that, your account returns to the Free tier and the 30-day retention window resumes; events older than 30 days are swept on the next daily run.

Refunds — Subscription charges are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at dev@onishistudios.com and we will review the request.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

6. Acceptable Use

7. No Device Control

Snap Entry does not control, arm, disarm, lock, or otherwise actuate your Ring devices. Snapshot capture is read-only: Snap Entry requests a still image from the Ring Partner API; it does not initiate recording or alter device state.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." We are not liable for Ring API outages, device offline states, missed events, or snapshot capture failures. Ring device availability and API reliability are outside our control.

9. Termination & Deletion

You may delete your Snap Entry account at any time using Delete my account in the dashboard footer — this removes all your data (including stored snapshots) immediately and cancels any active subscription. You may also unlink the integration from the Ring side, which begins a 30-day grace period after which your data is automatically deleted.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any user’s access for violations of these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after notice of changes constitutes acceptance.
